California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
Suppliers, agents and affiliates of Leprino Foods Company are expected to adhere to high ethical standards and fully comply with all laws in the course of their work on behalf of Leprino Foods. Our efforts in the area of eradicating slavery and human trafficking include:
- A Supplier Code of Ethics which prohibits engaging in or condoning the trafficking of human beings used or treated as slaves.
- Reviewing supplier contracts on a regular basis to ensure suppliers are obligated to comply with all laws applicable to their business. This includes laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they do business.
- Checking our list of suppliers against information reported by the U.S. Department of Labor in their List of Goods Produced by Child Labor and Forced Labor guide.
- A Code of Ethical and Business Conduct for employees which addresses, among other things, slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains, along with a telephone hotline and website for employees to submit anonymous reports of suspected violations of the law or Leprino’s Code of Ethical and Business Conduct.
- An initiative to begin educating and training employees who have direct responsibility for supply chain management to identify and mitigate risks within Leprino Foods’ supply chains.
